Cat-tron

April 15th, 2009 · No Comments

Check out this drawing, done by Coletron. In this everyday scene a large female cat is looking over her newly born kitten, who is interested in 2 small mice scampering back to safety in their little hole in the wall that mice seem to love. The size of this drawing is too large for any scanner on earth, so we took a picture of it instead.

Ophelia’s Life Lesson #1: Thou Shalt Nay Help Thy Who Nay Ask For It.

Ophelia Goes To Bristols:

As the title implies, one day I went to Bristol Farms, (the best market in La Jolla!) it was my spring break and I had nothing to do other than crave the infamous meatless chicken tenders. (Yes! They do exist for all your veggies out there) Giving in to my craving, I made the trek to La Jolla in order to obtain my favorite tasty treat. As I waited in the checkout line, I stood staring at the back of the woman in front of me. She was wearing what appeared to be a hand-knit sweater and attached to it was a strand of her long, blond hair dangling down her back like little man on a cliff. Now, most people may ignore such a thing, but I myself felt morally obligated to help this woman out, and remove the unfortunate placement of the lone hair. She appeared distracted, looking into the distance, so I took this as my cue to strike. Carefully, I reached my hand forward,  removing the hanging hair that may or may not have been a foot long, I could not be sure at the time. But I did not strike smooth enough! My usually suave moves had failed me, leaving me standing awkwardly behind this woman with a somewhat disgusted look on her face, as she stared at me, the stranger who had just touched her back for no apparent reason. Now, I had never been in this situation before, so I was unclear as to what an appropriate response should be. And also without a Twix to take that much needed moment to come up with a response, all I could do was stammer an “uhh, well, the thing is…” before she could turn back around uncomfortably with her face contorted to exuberate just exactly how creeped out she was. All I was doing was trying to help this woman, and all this obviously self-proclaimed ‘Madonna’ could do to thank me for my good samaritan deed was make me feel like newly registered sex offender.

So this brings me to my question, dear reader, what would you have done in this situation? True, I was stuck between a rock and a hard place, but if I was walking around like a douche bag  with  hairs dangling  and detached from my head, I would want someone like myself to go ahead and remove it. But, I guess I must come to terms with this newly learned life lesson that the next time I find myself involved in a predicament such as this, I must resist the urge to help out society.
Until next time,

Ophelia.

If cats had the powers to catch large game, would they become entirely independent, and more importantly, what power do they have to catch said prey? Well the year is 2030 and cats have laser vision allowing them to kill anything they want with one glance or raise of a paw.

Here a cat is seen zappin a fish mid-leap with the remanants of New York in the background. What happened to all the people you ask? The cats, thats what.
